Cable Catcher Systems for Improving Blast Resistance of Glazing Facades
Airport terminals and high rise office buildings often have faÁades composed of glazing systems of considerable height and extent. These walls often face public access roadways, where they represent a significant risk to their occupants in the event of the detonation of a vehicle bomb. Karagozian & Case (K&C) has developed several devices to protect occupants from debris generated by such threats. This paper provides a brief description of the design of such devices.
