Fifty Years of Experience
Karagozian & Case is recognized for its leadership role in developing and evaluating designs to resist blast, impact, and shock effects, testing to evaluate responses to such effects, and analytic modeling. For over five decades, K&C has worked for Government and private organizations to provide the latest and best technology to meet their needs for structural and mechanical systems to survive in severe threat environments, provide resilient and robust designs to accommodate shock and impact loads. In the 70s and 80s, K&C assisted the Government in evaluating and designing hardened structures related to nuclear attack. In the 90s, as the Cold War abated, K&C transitioned to characterizing conventional weapons effects, especially related to smart bombs, and began applying its expertise in weapons effects to develop technologies to protect buildings and their occupants from the effects of a terrorist bombing. This led to K&C becoming one of the leading companies in providing products and designs that reduce the risks to building occupants from terrorist attacks.
