Javier Malvar Receives ACI Design Award

According to Concrete International Javier Malvar has been awarded a prestigious Association of Civil Engineers Design Award "for developing a methodology to improve the blast resistance of existing reinforced concrete columns" outlined in his article "Specific Local Resistance Concepts," Concrete International, Vol. 27, No. 12, December 2005, pp. 23-27.
