Numerous on-site surveys and assessments of building facilities and compounds have been conducted in the U.S. and many other countries within the last 5 years, including U.S. Embassy facilities, Naval Installations, GSA-owned facilities, DOE facilities, Army Installations, and private, commercial, and industrial facilities. Typical security survey activities include discussions of asset and threat definition, evaluation of existing vulnerabilities, definition of functional objectives, and development of potential countermeasure solutions.

K&C routinely develops working level designs and specifications for perimeter defense systems, utilizing components such as:

Testing and Validation
K&C may be the only private consulting engineering firm in the nation that develops, designs, and physically tests both vehicle barrier systems and blast wall systems. This work, coupled with dynamic analysis using fast-running, engineering, and finite element modeling codes, has developed within K&C a deeper appreciation and understanding of each system and how these systems react in threat environments.
Integration
K&C is also one of few firms that acknowledge the high level of integration that exists within a properly designed perimeter defense system. Whether it is the coupling between an active / passive barrier system, a perimeter fence / IDS system, or a complete entry control point, K&C has significant relevant project experience to ensure complete integration.
