  2. Steel Bollard and steel base frame and rebar
  3. Rebar integrated into frame
  4. Validated in accordance with DOS standard to K4, K8 and K12
  5. High-Fidelity Physics-Based Finite Element analytical models used to design and validate

Shallow Mount Bollard

K&C engineered shallow mount anti-ram bollard system consists of pre-fabricated modular units that include the steel bollard, steel base frame and rebar. The steel bollards generally consist of steel pipes (with or without internal stiffener plates) or solid round bars. The steel base frames consist of a frame manufactured from steel plates, tubes and other shapes to form a shallow base that supports the bollard itself. The rebar is integrated into the base frame to eliminate the need for on-site rebar work.

Anti-ram Shallow mount bollard systemThe performance of several K&C engineered anti-ram systems has been validated in the impact tests conducted in accordance with the DOS standard to K4, K8 and K12 ratings. Consequently, the K&C HFPB-FE analytical models used to analyze and design these test articles have been validated and can effectively be used for developing similar types of anti-ram bollards system.
