KC-TEC (K&C Threat Evaluation Code) is a proprietary software package for conducting multi-threat assessments using a three-dimensional (3D) scaled model of a facility, or sites housing many facilities. The tool contains a number of integrated modules including air blast analysis, structural component response, glazing response, human vulnerability, fragmentation analysis, and equipment damage models and is able to display analytical results, such as color-coded contours, within the scenario environment. These graphical images quickly convey the results in 3D space and are an excellent means for use in effectively communicating the results of blast effects assessments and for optimizing the location and required strength/ductility of retrofit systems.
