K&C Awarded Contract for DHS Soft Targets and Crowded Places Initiative

Soft Targets and Crowded PlacesK&C is pleased to announce the award of a Department of Homeland Security contract to develop an advanced platform that can help identify and visualize mitigation options for terrorist attacks against soft targets crowded places. The software will leverage augmented reality (AR) platform applications to view threat environments (e.g. vehicle borne explosive devices, active shooter threats, hostile vehicle attacks, etc.) and visualize the advantages and disadvantages of various mitigation methods (e.g. bollards, security doors, blast resistant windows, etc.).

 

ABSTRACT

To address the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) requirements and strategic intent, Karagozian and Case, Inc. (K&C) proposes to develop a SECURITY MITIGATION ASSESMENT OF RISKS AND THREATS (SMART) software application for SOFT TARGETS AND CROWDED PLACES (ST-CP) which leverages advanced Geographical Information Systems (GIS) mapping software in conjunction with Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) capabilities.
